Once you have created a task, or a teacher has published a task to you, you will see it appear in your planner and its various views and lists. Tasks are typically displayed on their "Announcement" date and their "Due" date and they also appear in the different views and columns of the Tasks view.
The Today column in the Tasks view
A good place to start planning your work is the Today column in the Tasks view. This column displays tasks that are currently planned to be worked on today.
You control what appears here by setting when you plan on working on each task in the list.
The Three-step process of planning
Planning in the Studyo planner is based on a simple concept. For each task in your list, there are three actions you can take:
Finish the task now - if it is a short task, just do it now and mark it as completed. This is great for short things such as getting a paper signed, finishing up some homework which only has a little bit left to do or remembering to put your sneakers in your school bag.
To do this: Mark the task as complete when you are done.
Plan for later - Instead of procrastinating and simply ignoring a task, take the decision on when you will start this task (or continue it). No work is done now, only the decision to do it later.
To do this: Change the "Planned date" to a later day. Quick tip: Double click the planned date in the task's timeline to shift it to the following day.
Do part of the work now - For a longer task, you might not want to do it all right away. So you can spend some time on it and decide when you will continue. This is great for reading one chapter of a book, doing part of a longer homework, writing part of an essay, etc.
To do this: Change the "Planned date" to a later day. Quick tip: Double click the planned date in the task's timeline to shift it to the following day. (Hey, this is the same as the previous one... yep! Except you actually work on it now before 😀
In the end, your Tasks view will be cleared up and you will be ready for the next day!
